As an organisation, you need to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act and Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations, which set out the employer requirements for first aid provision. The regulations apply to all workplaces, regardless of size, but the higher the risk, the more staff require training.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
This one-day course is usually the minimum requirement in any workplace where a first-aider is needed. This course is ideal for people working in low-hazard environments, such as an office environment.
First Aid at Work (FAW)
This three-day course is aimed at people who operating in higher-risk environments, for example, where there is heavy machinery operating or activities involving working at height.
