Telescopic Handler

We deliver training on both Rough Terrain and Industrial telescopic handlers, with accreditation from NPORS or AITT.

Telescopic Handler training is accredited through the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) or Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT).

For candidates interested in getting into the Construction sector – or those already in it – the NPORS scheme offers the option of a CSCS affiliated card if required. This is the equivalent of the red/blue CPCS trained/competent operator card scheme.

Our trainers have experience with both Rough Terrain and Industrial type telescopic handlers, so training can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Upcoming Telehandler Courses

At our Plymouth training centre we have a JCB 535-125 with loading tower featuring 6m & 9m platforms. This allows us to deliver the training required to qualify for an unrestricted Telescopic Handler ticket. If you prefer training at your premises, we’re also more than happy to visit you!

Our experienced trainers will provide the knowledge, training and guidance to give candidates the best chance of success.

Course TypeWho is it suitable for?Duration

NoviceAimed at candidates with little or no previous experience on the machine, who have not previously attended formal training.3-5 days
ExperiencedThis course is aimed at delegates who have some prior experience. This may have been with formal training where experience has since been sporadic, or regular experience without any formal training.2-3 days
RefresherSuitable for candidates who have previously received formal training, and who have been regularly operating the machine since.1 day
ConversionWith some types of equipment, it is possible to reduce the training duration required by applying skills taught on similar machines.
