Plant/Vehicle Marshal (Banksman)

Our Plant/Vehicle Marshal training comes with NPORS or in-house accreditation and is aimed at those required to guide vehicles or plant on site.

Plant and/or Vehicle Marshal (Banksman) training gives candidates the knowledge and skills to guide vehicles or plant safely around site, protecting themselves and other site users. It is accredited either by the National Plant Operator Registration Scheme (NPORS) or Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT).

Covered in this course is an overview of legal responsibilities; hazards that exist for marshals and others on site and what they can do to minimise risk; pre-use checks on the equipment; familiarising themselves with the operator’s manual; briefing the driver; guiding the vehicle through restricted areas and safely parking the equipment.

Training lasts for one day, with a maximum of three or four candidates in attendance, depending on the accreditation required for the training.

Training is also available as an in-house qualification.
